As online shopping ramps up for the shopping-heavy Christmas season, the celebs are getting in on the action. Starting with cute OC actress and style maven Rachel Bilson. She is going the shoe route and is launching a small collection of shoes and boots on ShoeMint.com this Friday. They are leather or suede and start at a price of $79.98 should you be interested in snapping them up.
I am pretty keen on the leopard print wedge booties myself. Rachel's intention is to make it a personal and rewarding shopping experience, offering some style advice herself to the shoppers. Well, let's see how long that lasts, but it is a nice sentiment.
The collection is a collaboration between Rachel, Steve Madden and Rachel's long-time stylist Nicole Chavez. Do you like the look of it?

Jessica Chastain Looking Stunning for the Daily Mail
That dreadful British right-wing newspaper, the Daily Mail, ran a story on the actress of the year, Jessica Chastain, this weekend. First let me say that I can't wait for awards season. It is around the corner and it means weeks of awesome discussions about dresses on the red carpet. I feel quite giddy just thinking about it. And you had better believe Jessica, with her stunning red hair, will be one of the most stylish out there. I guess the Hate Mail, I mean the Daily Mail, also think so. And so they ran a profile piece on her this weekend. Which is quite unusual. Accompanied by these glorious images. Wow.
Before your call me a hypocrite, I know. I don't have to read the paper. And yet I do. Almost every day. And get angry every time. But then you look at these pictures and you realise why it is worth it, every now and again. Just note the styling. the nails to start. And then the hint of a fishnet stocking. Sometimes the beauty is in the details. Sometimes it is in the hair. You decide.

Looks I Loved This Weekend: Jenny McCarthy, Emma Watson, Michelle Williams and Nicole Richie
You know that this is my favourite post of the week. When I put together all those super cool outfits I spotted on the weekend that otherwise wouldn't get posted. And this week it is a cracker. I mean it has that stunning purple version of the Victoria Beckham tulip dress - on Jenny McCarthy. I love this dress is like I love chocolate. Seriously. Stunning. And then that cute Jason Wu peplum waisted outfit (with Jimmy Choo heels) that Emma Watson wore charmed even me. And what about the black leather halter neck dress by Valentino that Michelle Williams wore, hey? My goodness. What a dress. And look how beautifully it works with her hair. And then there is Nicole Richie. Always a stunner. Always stylish. And yet still manages to surprise us with this sequin shimmer of a Halston dress that has hints of red about it. I can't tell you the number of images I downloaded on my phone to see it this weekend. Love-e-ly. Which would I have in my wardrobe, you ask? I am going loyal and sticking with my gal Vicky's dress. Purple tulip for the win this week. What do you think fashion gang?

US GQ Men of the Year Awards Best Dressed
The US version of the GQ Men of the Year Awards was held in LA last week. And the big red carpet trend for the girls who went in support of the guys, was black. Little black dresses abounded. Some super sexy like the leather one-shoulder that the stunning Nicole Scherzinger wore - wowzer. Some draped and fluid like the one Ali Larter wore - with new and amazing hair. And Some pretty and embelished like the Antonio Berardi that Jessica Biel wore on her date with Justin Timberlake.
But some of the girls bucked the trend and wore their own thing. I loved the cute red and white Preen dress that Anna Faris wore (LOVED, I said). And the super cool sequin tunic that Kerry Washington wore - by Prabal Gurung. I adore that Kerry always wears short, tight and shiny. But never all at the same time. She should be the poster girl for how to do this. And then Minka Kelly wore a very accessible little Versus dress to complete the set. What a cute night of dresses, right? Who was your favourite? It's a tough choice. But I think I am going for Kerry Washington's glitter fiesta for my wardrobe. You?
Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, Shops Zara on the King's Road
Seriously. If I was a princess would I wander along the King's Road in Chelsea on a Saturday afternoon like a normal person? I'm not sure I would. I mean, just look at Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, carrying her own shopping, walking in the streets, acting as if she has no airs and graces...wait, hang on, it appears she doesn't have any airs and graces.
Unlike some of the SA so-called celebs, who had people to carry their Zara bags at the opening...just saying.
Anyhoodle, back to K-Middy. She is wearing the most adorable Mulberry pleated wool skirt. And carrying her favourite Mulberry handbag. I can't fault that. I could, of course, live without her favourite knee-high boots, but aside from that, I am totes happy with this little situation. Go Kate.

Haider Ackermann Dominates Global Marie Claire Prix de la Moda Awards
Many of you will know that I super-love the design work of one Haider Ackermann. If you didn't know that, now you do. Love. Fully. And it appears I am not alone. Well, we knew of course that Tilda Swinton, his collaborator and muse of sorts, is a devoted wearer of his line. But at the 2011 Marie Claire de la Moda awards held in Spain last week, several other guests also wore Ackermann. See Tilda, as well as models Elisa Sednaoui and Laura Ponte in their equally stunning Ackermann outfits. I would die for one. I would.
Charlize Theron in Dior. Again. Still Stunning.
Onse Charlize Theron looked amazing again in a short, little black Dior dress on the weekend. She turned up all covered in a coat, with stunning shoes and a great manicure. And then stripped off into the 20s-inspired dropeed waist, beaded dress with a slight pleat detail on the skirt. So freaking stunning. Those legs. It's not fair. Something in the Benoni water, I think.
