Also, just looking back briefly to TIFF, this Preen dress really took my fancy. Olivia is prone to looking a bit 'relaxed' in her normal life. Her fringe does things like mine does. Her bag has tassels and she is normally spotted in sweeping maxi dresses. But this Preen dress is cute and cropped and has the cool coral under skirt and pockets. She looks amazing. And navy and coral are SUCH a good combination. Note that trend peeps.

Olivia Wilde in Ralph Lauren and Preen
This is a bit of a delayed post. What with all the fashion week shenanigans and the Emmys malarky, I have barely had time to mop up the bits and pieces that I had planned to post. But I thought that this one was worth a show and tell. It's the actress Olivia Wilde. She turned up at the Ralph Lauren show looking all kinds of freaking amazing in this black jumpsuit, colour block heels and green handbag. I love the belt. I adore the peep hole neckline. And the lips. Well. It would be unseemly to continue. Olivia walked home afterwards. Through the streets of New York. Like this. How inadequate would I have felt if I had passed her in the street, hey? I don't think that I could look this groomed if I paid very expensive people to make it so. Nor walk in those heels. Props lady.
Cat Deeley in Roland Mouret, Chloe, Monique Lhuillier at Emmys Parties
One of the many things that I love about Cat Deeley (other than the TV show she presents, So You Think You Can Dance) is that she tweets photos of her fabulous life so we can all get a glimpse of it. She appears to be one of those celebs who has yet to loose sight of how lucky she is to have gone from Birmingham, middle England, to LA and attending the Emmy awards as a nominee. In these photos she is hanging out with Emmy winner, Melissa McCarthy and Mary Murphy, and later showing her 'bling' to Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his boyfriend from Modern Family. She is of course wearing her Monique Lhuillier dress here.
But in the build up to the show, the pre-Emmy parties and nominees reception, Cat also let us in her her behind the scenes preparation and what she was wearing. The dress up top is by Chloe and she loved this one most, saying she really didn't want to take it off. In the middle is the green tie-dye Roland Mouret gown she wore to the nominees reception. Who knew tie-die could work so well? And while Cat usually wears Jimmy Choo shoes, she actually wore Christian Louboutin heels with the nude dress to the party at Cecconi's ahead of the awards.
One thing is for sure, Cat has yet to become blase about these kinds of events. It is also amazing that she is willing to share the behind the scenes with us. I love seeing it all - especially how much Cat seems to enjoy it. Well played, lady.

Exclusive Photos of Bill Cunningham from New York Fashion Week
My friend Alex went to New York fashion week. While she was there, she helped the boys from KLuK CGDT with their show for the Arise African Showcase. And hung out with Klaudia from the Cape Town store. And attended the Michael Kors show. And spotted Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington. And most of all, spotted my all-time idol, Bill Cunningham and snapped a couple of pics of him for me.
I love Bill Cunningham. Always have. If it weren't for him, this blog would not exist. Fact.
But I have yet to see the documentary made about his life. Has anyone in CT got a copy they could lend me? Anyone? I would be most grateful. Over to you.
FYI: That's Alex on the left and Klaudia on the right, dressed in KLuK CGDT.

WIN! Pair of Latest Superga Swallow Tail 2951
So you all know how I love my Superga sneakers. I mean the very first day I tried them on, I forsook all others. Now I have three pairs and they comprise my shoe wardrobe together with my Jimmy Choos and Havianas. You probs also all know that Alexa Chung is the face of the brand - it's not like I haven't told you that often enough. And then a couple of weeks ago it was announced that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are designing a range for Superga. Do you need any more reason to get on board with the brand?
Well I am giving a pair of classic Swallow Tail 2951s away next week, worth R500, and they could be yours. All you need to do is send an email to robyn.cooke@telkomsa.net, telling me why you deserve to win the shoes. And you could win! The draw will take place on Monday afternoon, so all entries should be in by 12 noon on Monday 26th September 2011. Good luck and go!

Burberry SS12 Show: The Most Star-Studded Front Row Ever?
Could this be the most celebrity-packed front row of a fashion show ever? I don't even mean by quality. Sheer quantity would do it surely? Let's start naming the attendees at Burberry last night with Kayne West. That would be enough for me. I love me some Kanye. Just BTW. But let's add in the first lady of the UK, Samantha Cameron. Head of Arcadia Group (TopShop, Evans, Burtons, TopMan, Dorothy Perkins, etc), Sir Philip Green was there. As was snapper of the stars, Mario Testino. Tennis world number 4, Andy Murray. Seriously. Anna Wintour, of course. And her British Vogue equivalent Alexandra Shulman. UK TV Star Donna Air turned up. Rosie Huntington Whiteley as we have already mentioned. You think that's enough. Ha! I laugh in the face of that suggestion.
Actress Sienna Miller has been getting around at London Fashion Week. Stylist Rachel Zoe wrapped up warmly. And model/designer Laura Bailey mixed winter and summer with her Burberry trench. Actress Gemma Arteton looked cute with her bright yellow clutch when she made an appearance as well.
It doesn't even end there. Tali Lennox, Prince Harry's ex girlfriend Florence Brudenell-Bruce and Olympic gold medallist Denise Lewis were also in attendance. Incredible. That doesn't even begin to count in all the fashion editors and bloggers that have become household names.
The most remarkable thing about the Burberry attendees though? Us. Yes, we watched on live streaming as we always do now. Our own front row right in front of our computers. Talk about the best of both worlds. And the strength of this brand. Attracting the most powerful front row ever, and simultaneously making the show available to all of us. Brilliant. I am in awe.

Moet & Chandon Etoile Awards Red Carpet 2011
Speaking of Rosie Huntington Whiteley, last night at the (very posh) Park Lane Hotel in London, she attended the Moet & Chandon Etoile Awards. She wasn't alone. Nor was she the only one wearing white. It seems it was a black and white dress code and the starlets in town turned up the glam factor for the evening. Rosie was in Burberry, of course. Her mate and our very own Saffa, Candice Swanepoel was in black Tom Ford. She had walked the Tom Ford show the day before and attended the dinner. Hudson jeans model and designer, daughter of Sir Mick, Georgia May Jagger was also there.
The glamour didn't stop there. Dressed all in shimmering white with fur accents were model Cara Delevingne, actress Sienna Miller and doesn't-need-a-descriptor Kate Moss. Now there is a party I wold RSVP an emphatic 'yes' to.
I am having a Rosie-day so I am going to stick with her Burberry as the dress of the night. Any advances from you guys? Let me know.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley in Michael Kors, Tom Ford and Burberry
Constituting a trifecta of contemporary designers, Michael Kors, Tom Ford and Christopher Bailey from Burberry have recently dressed the actress and Victoria Secret model, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Rosie attended the Kors show in a leather tunic dress, teaming it with knee-high boots and cuff making her look like a sci-fi version of a 60s model. Which is kinda hot. When Tom Ford dressed her in velvet with a stitched bra inset, Rosie looked like a dominatrix 'it' girl (which is almost certainly exactly what Mr Ford was aiming for). And finally, turning up at the Burberry show yesterday, Rosie looked awesome. Proper, stop-zoom-in-really-marvel-at-the-image awesome. Her natural elegance and blush-colouring was shown off to magnificent effect by the new collection Burberry coat, paired with leather skinnies and a vest. Simply beautiful. Love this look on her. Don't you?
