London played host to the Miss World 2011 spectacular lasy night. Amid the usual protests and cries of disparagement, a host of young women who are involved in charity projects around the world, donned beautiful dresses and spoke out on their personal manifestos to change the world. Our own Miss South Africa, Bokang Montjane, made the semi finals of Top Seven girls before being overlooked for the top three spots. That's her in the middle, being feted by her fellow contestants.
The crown landed on the coiffed head of Miss Venezuela, 21 year old Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colmenares. Almost like a cliche. I mean evreryone knows you can't beat Miss Venezuela and her magnificent hair.
Nelson Mandels sent a message of support to the contest and all the girls, praising their efforts in the field of charity and wishing them all the best. Class, people, class.
